Pablo Naranjo is a singer-songwriter and producer who has recently released 'Currents', a four track EP following his 2017 album 'Black Euphoria'.
Pablo is originally from Colombia and moved to Australia in 2004. In 2001 he recorded his first album leading the progressive-grunge band Septimo Aposento (The Seventh Room), who were invited to perform at large rock festivals. In Australia he formed Orbeum, a classical/jazz instrumental guitar duo which recorded the album 'Passages' in 2009 with members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Often described as 'filmic', Orbeum's compositions are an eclectic fusion of styles which have been featured in advertisements and documentaries. |
'Here in the Distance' (2013) was Pablo's first album as a solo artist. According to the UK music blog Audio Pulse, the album is 'a journey for the soul', highlighting Pablo's love for 90's alternative rock.
'Black Euphoria' (2017) was recorded and mixed by Pablo with the exception of track 'Transform', mixed by Adam Kasper (Soundgarden, Nirvana, REM). Its single 'Hot Air Balloon' was amongst the winners of the 'Summer Song Contest' by Radioplay in 2018.
'Currents' (2019) is Pablo's latest release. This four track EP is more acoustic, downtempo and stripped back than his previous two albums, with a clear Bossa Nova influence in Pablo's guitar work.
